Read it a long time ago and recently forgot about it until I was browsing my ebooks and came across it again. It's A M A Z I N G! Enjoyable and whenever my best friend asks me my favorite novel I tell him this book!
A must-read for romantics.
I really liked this book! I loved Oliver as soon as he was introduced, and the relationship between Hadley and her stepmother was interesting. It was funny, well-written, and made sense.
This book is by far one of my favourite books. Hadley and Oliver's relationship is beautiful. Although they meet under unusual circumstances they still manage to put what they are going through aside and learn about each other. The connection from the very start is obvious between them. The author does a great job of building Hadley and Olivers relationship. This book was most definitely a job well done.
This was a really sweet book, reminded me of a fanfiction. I liked Hadley's relationship with her father. Recommend if you like light, fluffy reads.
When Hadley gets on a plane to go to her father’s wedding, she is seated next to Oliver, a young man going to his father’s funeral. Quickly, the two talk, and over the plane trip, fall in love. Unfortunately, they do not exchange numbers. How will Hadley find Oliver again? Does she want to?
Read this if you like: Sweet romances, quick reads, fluffy books.
I absolutely love this book! I picked it up because I was in the mood for a sappy love story, but I got much more than I bargained for! With father-daughter problems, bitter feelings about divorce, and the slightly awkward feeling of new love, this book is one that I didn't put down till I was done. It's a perfect "I'm bored and need an awesome book" read.
If you're finding a book that is cheesy this is not the book you are finding. You might expect it from the title but the story more revolves around the family of the two characters than the story of both of them.
This is my all time FAVORITE book ever. I just love this book. Its sweet and happy and wow. I just have no words. For a person who has never had a favorite book this one is now on the list.
The novel was a really cute read. It takes place over 24 hours and it doesn't just focus on the romance aspect, which was refreshing . The characters are memorable and their conversations on the plane were adorable. My only wish is that it was longer, but it had a good ending.
I was expecting a cute love story, and this included that, but was much more of a story about fathers and daughters, and whether its better to hurt people in the interest of ultimate happiness, or try to make things work as they stand. With the amount of bitterness and teen-angst that Hadley had been directing at her father, it felt a bit too pat that she would forgive and forget so quickly, but it made for a nice ending.
Smith's novel is a delight. Hadley is a thoroughly believable seventeen year old girl who is dealing with the trauma of her parents' divorce and the dreaded remarriage of her father. In contrast with this realistic family drama is the very sweet moments between Hadley and Owen. They spark, banter, and are just thoroughly charming whenever they're together. The dream of being seated next to a cute British boy on an airplane has never been cuter. A brilliant juxtaposition of dealing with the changes in a family that you can't control and the magic of a chance encounter, the book is a realistic and sweet read.
Sweet and lovely. Written by longtime Nerdfighter, Recommended by John Green.
I usually don't like this type of book but I thought it was quirky and interesting.
This book was so bad! There was no chemistry between the characters and the character development sucked. Now this book just haunts my nightmares.
A cute short read. kept you wondering what would happen next. all teens who like love stories will LOVE this one!
I thought the book was sweet. It made me laugh, but it also made me cry once or twice...which isn't such a bad thing.
One of the cutest stories I've read so far! I would definitely recommend this to anyone that likes teen love stories!
This was an adorable summer read. It was fast paced and reminded me of Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist. It had a deeper meaning than the whirlwind romance. It dealt with family and loss. I loved it!
If you don't believe in true love then try this author's take at it. Smith will have you laughing and smiling all throughout the novel as Hadley and Oliver meet over a series of chances. Then it all comes down to themselves, will they follow their hearts?
LOVED it. Briefly: Oliver is hilariously charming and cute, the idea of fate is adorable, Hadley's ability to forgive is admirable (because if it were me, I wouldn't be able to let go that easily), and the whole idea of love being illogical and complicated and simple and just something that is different for everyone, is terrifying and beautiful at the same time. It's real. And I love this story so much.
I love the idea of fate... And this book was really good at making the idea come alive (well written anyways)this is a great book! Do you believe in love at first sight?
It's short and sweet. Cute without being too cheesy. AND with a title & a cover like that, I just had to pick it up.
