They depict the flower's life from the bud brimming with nectar and the unfolding of petals to the beauty of full bloom and then, after fading and shrinking, the fall of the corolla. photographed species, which include irises, daisies, buttercups, cornflowers, thistles and dandelions. An eight-page section printed on translucent paper enables readers to follow the evolution of a bright red poppy.
