I really enjoyed this book. It's well-written and well-organized, packed with information on both the life of Dr. McLoughlin and on the history of the Oregon Territory. I love the details about how people were living at this time, in these places - the connections with Canada, Hawai'i, Mexico - very informative and thought-provoking.
