I really enjoyed this debut novel by Jack Kerley. The characters and scenery are well-defined, but don't overtake the story itself. Early in the book I thought I had it figured out and was disappointed that the whodunit was so obvious only to find myself wrong twice more before the end. I'm excited to read the rest of the books following Ryder and Nautilus in Mobile. Hopefully KCLS will add them to their collection soon.
