One of the first novel's every written and well worth a read if you can get through it. The author jumps around a lot since the book is styled like a journal and he employs seemingly random use of capitalization but all in all I truly enjoyed this book so much. Its fascinating reading about the plague and realistic stories of people who lived through it. Reminds me a lot of another favorite novel of mine: World War Z.
