Fast novel I read as it was published as our heroes fight a supersized sea monster, cannibalistic religious slave raiding civilization thanks to accidental cross-contamination in previous first contact, & boarding a environmental movement gone bad if ship had elite Greenpeace division. Funny scene of Greenpeace division horrified of plasma armed local four armed "scummies" because they have no preconception in new environment.
