A very beautiful love story and dedication spans over life and beyond. The female, as instigator of the relationship is presented in a crafty and delicate way. The shift between black & white versus color was relatively blunt to distinguish the past from the present.
A good example of enjoyable and uplifting cinema.

Engaging in its simplicity and honesty. The lovely kindness of the mother quietly supporting her daughter's intentions on her would-be spouse is echoed in the final scene where the daughter now mother encourages her son to find his beloved. The road running through it is compelling. I could not believe 89 minutes had elapsed.
