This is the Letty story, the Letty book, so in that regard it is a good read - - the author does come across with a disjointed villian, as if he decided midstream to include his mother after all for the denouement of the story line.
Sandford's Lucas Davenport is a great character. In this book, the supporting cast is also quite good, alive, full of nuances that makes the characters real. Unfortunately, the villains are not up to par with the rest of the story or characters and that results in the whole book being barely average
A satisfying read. The action never stops.
