A typical Johansen novel... a predictable mystery and the usual harlequin-type sexual tension between the two protagonists. I did enjoy Melis and her revenge against the bad guy.

Melis Nemid looks after dolphins Pete & Susie, who are the keys to finding a long-lost underwater treasure at Marinth. She is recovering from being sold as a sex-slave at the age of 10. Former friend Philip Lontana betrays her to 'bad guy' Archer to try to gain the treasure at Marinth. She enlists the help of Jed Kelby & his friend Nicholas Lyon to defeat the bad guy Archer. Friend & therapist Carolyn Mulan is killed by Archer. .Eventually, she & Kelby find the treasure, defeat the bad guy, & find healing together.
