Graystripe, the protagonist, is a mighty warrior of the beleaguered Thunderclan, which has recently been threatened by a combination of suburban development and a zealous cat catcher. The story opens with him imprisoned in a strangely seductive suburban home. After briefly succumbing to the charms of soft living as a kittypet, Graystripe steels his resolve and vows to make his way back to the wild.

Great art work i love that gray stripe finds a new friend and trains her to be a warrior.

Firestar's good friend has been captured by twolegs! Aka humans! Graystripe is not your typical housecat that will "settle down" and allow life to be handed to him in a household manner. The fierce warrior he is, he teams up with Millie (another cat) to return to Thunderclan. I really liked the way he was depicted in the "manga" with the hair, and Millie's stripes made her an interesting. This takes place around the time of the second series. Overall, an easy read for those typically around 10 to 12 years of age.

This book is pretty good, but I feel like they got Greystripe's personality completely wrong, and Silverstream's design is weird as all heck. However, it is interesting to see what other people imagine the characters looking like, and to see Greystripe's struggles in a city.

The Summary says he is a former leader when it should say former deputy.

I think this series is #1 when it comes to animal fantasy stories. IT has a strong and interesting begining that hooks you in. And suspense that reels you in.I can't wait until the next book in the series.

It's about Graystripe getting lost with twolegs and finding Millie for a mate.
