Book Review of “Dark Harvest: A Maplecreek Amish Novel” by Karen Harper. This is a great mystery book. It’s not the kind that will keep you awake at night, worrying about who’s hurting who, but it is the kind of mystery that makes you want to come back as soon as you can, so you can read more, to find out who the guilty person or people are.
Dark Harvest leads you down one path and you think you know who the bad guy is, and then, you find out it is a dead end, and you go down another path. When one person is arrested, you begin to think the book is over, and low and behold, still more people are committing the crimes.
Wound around the mystery is a romance story, which makes this book interesting in more than one direction. I wanted to cheer whenever the two people finally found love in each other!
Dark Harvest is a good book that really appealed to me. Now, I’m going to check out more books written by Karen Harper!
