Was actually better than the title would imply. About a recent graduate with crippling student loan debt, tutoring rich, exceedingly spoiled brats for money to pay off her loans. And how she complicates her life by trying to fit in with them by lying.

Despite the humour and unexpected twists, the book was a disappointment as it was written with excessive swearing, in particular the f word, and also sexual comments and scenes. It made what would have been a well written book with a sophisticated style, a tacky and cheap read. I stopped reading half way through.

Despite the title, the topic, and its' sister books, this is not a shallow read. There are some great twists in the plot to soothe your cranium, which may have been numbed after a few too many other stereotypical chic-lit books. How to Teach Filthy Rich Girls has lots of humours moments that are fresh; Dean has really created as close to an original story as this particular genre and subject area has room for. Last but not least, the protagonist is not a stick-thin, weight-obssesed figure. We need more Megan Smiths!
Great summer read!

Typical chic-lit. It's a quick, light, easy read with a predictable ending. You can judge this book by its cover!

Very good plot and twist. Strongly recommended.

I love the show, it's my not so secret guilty pleasure and this book just made me love this even more. If I had read this book and it wasn't a show I'd be wondering why there wasn't a movie adaption of this book.

Megan is even more lovable in this book than the TV show, which I didn't think was possible. And the whole romance with Will was so well done and even managed a few surprises and twists in there.

If you enjoy the show you'll definitely enjoy this book. You'll get more insight and also bring to light why some of the characters are the way they are.

Perfect Mellow Read.
