While there are some important concepts in this book (i.e. research showing that euthanized pets are rendered into pet food "tags, collars and all"), it is unbalanced. Written by a food manufacturer (Halo), there are many lovely anecdotes, but the diet proposed is overblown and overly tedious. Also, there is garlic in almost everything, which research shows destroys red blood cells in dogs and cats. It also proposes feeding some raw bones for your pets, without discussing the risk of salmonella, bortadella and e.coli for your pet and your family. I'd recommend Marion Netle's book instead.

Phenomenal eye opening - easy read with so me good ideas. Recipes - I want to eat... The weekly assessment is something I copied and will keep always. It is top notch complete with what to check!

Though I don't agree with some of her diet advice for doggies - need slower adding new items with mine or they would get diarrhea on her ideas...

I will use many of her ideas and her stories were very helpful.
