Beautifully written psychological thriller (my favorite genre), about a young woman with dealing with a tragic past and subsequent friendship with another woman who doesn't seem to be all there. The story mainly is about redemption and the will to survive against all odds. Very good.

Nice coreography on the book monologue. Thanks to James Morgan, and Christina D.

A decent book. I found that although there were a few twists, the majority of surprises were revealed before it was necessary which I thought cut down on the suspense. I liked the story over all. Loved how the title was so well thought out!

This book didn't require any effort to keep going until I found the "hook" 50 or 100 pages in. Really, I had to force myself to go to bed and work on time because all I found myself doing was trying to find time to sneak some more pages in. A wonderfully constructed book. A devastatingly sad protagonist and supporting characters that are equally as memorable. You always feel in-the-moment at every part of the book, especially in the couple of chapters (2 by memory) that are written in second-person.

I did enjoy the flash back story telling mode, but I thought the plot had some major flaws that made it completely unbelievable.

I put this book on my list of books that i wanted to read and kind of forgot about it. I finally read the book. The book is gripping, and sad and happy all at the same time. The book takes a look at two sisters and their relationship, and choices, and the consequences of those choices. The What if's. The crime committed is horrible and the aftermath uproots and entire family and community. Peoples lives change on both sides. Secrets are kept by everyone and ultimately destroy people. I don't want to give too much info about the book, though i do recommend the book. The book is about choices and the outcomes, life after the aftermath. I expected a little more out of the end of the book. I want to know what happens exactly, not just guess and make my own conclusions. I would have like to read the dialogue that would have transpired. I can't tell you between who becuase that gives away too much. But i am glad to have what happens happen. Even after horrible things happen over and over, there is happiness.

OMG! I read this book, and it was SO frightening! It made me realize that anyone can do anything…. It was a fantastic book. I found it really freaky when Mrs. James actually described how Rachael was ‘attacked’ (I can’t say the ‘r’ word…) All in all, I thought it was one of the best books I have ever read!
