I've read the first three of the Northlanders series and the 3rd book is the weakest. The first two had one main story, whereas this graphic novel is divided into 4 shorter stories. Certainly, all the stories are interesting but I wasn't as vested in the story like I was in the excellent first two books. The art was weaker as well. Still, all three books are worth reading. Lots of bloody viking violence, neat historical references, and cool characters. You also don't really need to read them in order (except for the last short story in book three which is the same main character as book one). For those looking for a cool graphic novel series to read with no super-heroes, you should read the Northlanders series.
