Loved this quirky comedy set in seventies about blue-collar community. Another touch-down by Gervais-Merchant creative team.

Originally watched it because I liked in the "real" cemetery Junction area in Reading, England. Have watched it again since and still think it is a good movie - yes a bit predictable, but also a nice story line, and well acted.

I knew ahead of watching it that it was a coming of age story and not what you think Ricky and Stephen would write and direct. Saying that, I think they did a great job and really enjoyed the film.
There was a lot of humor in it. Typically British :-). Can I just say, the bloopers reel had me crying I was laughing so much. Brilliant!

Really liked this one but I love British movies!

OK, but was expecting much more. The young actors are very good, but the movie falters quite a bit. The ending is painfully predictable.

Good movie about coming of age and the decisions we make. Opportunities seem very real (for someone, usually the presenter)and many times it ends up you're just trying to escape the same thing we all are but prehaps afraid to follow your instincts...at least alone.

If you like British humor passable else a good reason to wake up (you will be asleep) and get some exercise.

Bland British clone of "Saturday Night Fever" in which a young Englishman seeks freedom from his small-town, working-class constraints. Not as effective, original, or dancey as the prototype, but improved by a dozen or so genuinely funny vignettes.
