(The sixth book in the Alison Reynolds series)

Like a bad made-for-TV movie. For the first 3/4's of the book, Ali might as well have been a cook in her parents' diner. Only in the final 1/4 does she start portraying someone in law enforcement. Characters have no depth. In terms of humor? You don't laugh with the characters e.g. Brenda. You laugh at them

Always a good story from this author. Check out her other series.

For me, I can tell if a book is good by how long it takes me to read it. Well, I had to renew this one, because I've been reading it for a couple of weeks and I'm still not done. I don't like leaving a book unfinished, so I will finish it, but...Ugh! The storyline jumps all over the place and like someone else said, the characters aren't realistic at all. I read the first Ali Reynolds book and thought it was just okay and wanted to give Jance another chance, but nope. This will be the last one.

Another good one from Jance. I like an author who can make me chuckle along with the character's subtle sense of humor.
