'Starting all over'. Reloading the machine. Loved it. ----- Kyle Chandler is a 'national treasure'; deep American ideals, deep deep emotions, like Gary Cooper but better actor. Watching him in this role is so heart-warming. I cry. ----- As wonderful as this and other 'mediocre' series are, it shows how great the better ones are, the ones who re-invent themselves each season (Dexter, Breaking Bad, In Treatment, The Wire etc). ----- Would've liked a lot more of Buddy Garrity, of course. ----- and that music; instant cry...

Most of the parents we see in this series are heterosexual. Therefore, it must be said, heterosexuals make dredful parents. The kids are growing up under terrible conditions. Everyone is so poor. Most of them seem to have little ambition to enhance their lives or enrich their lives. A few escape to colleges. It's hard to be living in a city that's driven by ambition and gucci and watch this show about all these down-trodden people. Even when opportunities come their way they screw them up. This was a difficult series to "enjoy."
