Many people think that dreaming big means you quit your day job, and sell everything you own. What if there were a different way. This book is based on Acuff's experience in cultivating a dream job that changed his life-- and the world in the process.

If you are relatively young, age 30 or less, this might be a read for you, if older...not ! Mr. Acuff has a very pleasant writing style and as a long-time public speaker, myself, one appreciates how he weaves his personal challenges into his book. The book falls short however, in the depth of the research. Mr. Acuff addresses issues from the position of a young man, which he is. If you're older, age 30 and above, you're long beyond those efforts and rereading a place you've long since passed, personally, is ineffective. Additionally, one major disagreement I have , is his suggestion that "plans" aren't that important...poppycock ! One can surpass much of Mr. Acuff's angst, if they can, indeed, write an extensive 5-year business plan, even if you don't intend to start a business. If you can't write a plan...all you have is an idea...NOT a Dream ! If you're young...try it, if older, look elsewhere !

This book was better than I expected. Very thoughtful about a topic that some people may shrug off, Quitting.
Not all quitting is bad. There is a better time and place for it and it's great if you can take advantage of that.
The chapters give real situations that many "self-help" books don't get into - when discussing the details of living and going after your dreams.
