A little bit different than your standard Brit lit in that the characters that fall in love actually spend quite a bit of time developing their relationship throughout the book. The book doesn't immediately start with the fiancé's abandonment at the alter, there's a bit of build up which adds something nice to the story. Overall, though, you do end up just thinking "just pick the right guy already."
