If you have any interest in Kiss, this makes for a fun and easy read. My recommendation would be to skip the first couple of chapters, and dig right into the origins of Kiss.

This book is unreadable. Ace is really boring, and his ghost writer cannot write to save his life. Skip this one.

Ace has some great rock stories - never knew he saw all the great bands in small halls - led zep, the who, Hendrix - complaint? The bok is about 3 chapters too short - more Ace please!!

recently got to read ace's book(gene's written enough)as a big kiss fan since i was 15 it's refreshing to hear some of the stories from ace's perspective.
it seems though to not mention a lot of fun but mopre like it was a job after a while ...don't get me wrong i wasn't dissapointed as a matter of fact i found it a pretty good read .I'm glad that ace is sober and clean now as he was 1 of my inspirations as a guitarist myself..if you are afan you'll enjoy the book( i loved when he callled paul and gene WHORES!!!)i've been in bands and i know how it feels to be outvoted or not included and there are headaches in bands but you have to remember the good times also i just thought there could have a been a bit more fun tales than those that were drugged fueled..all in all great job ace and i hope you write more (or maybe peter will finally tell HIS story (that'd be the cats meow..p.s to you who wrote knights in satans service...you are a retard kiss was a name made up after the fact peter mentioned he was in a band called lips so paul stanley suggested kiss

The book makes no mention of the band's first Japanese concerts in March of 1977, nor is there any mention of Ace being pictured on the front cover of 1982's "Creatures of the Night", even though he didn't actually play on the record. Strange Ways, indeed!

Many people recall the theatrics, makeup, costumes and stagecraft when thinking of KISS, but they don't consider the great musicianship the band members possessed. This is especially true for Ace Frehley who had the most successful solo album and solo career of all the KISS members including Gene Simmons! Long live Ace Frehley!
