I hope Mr. Fry's editor got a large packet of money for this tome. One would not be at all be surprised to find Mr. Fry's love affair with words evident in each and every page, I wished by the end of the book he had only dated them.
Having said that, be prepared to put the book down again and again.

Reading Fry's account of his life might even be more interesting than his fictional works. Excellently written, both funny and sad as you see how human the comedy genius of Fry is.

Fry's Cambridge days and early success in show business. Confessions and name-dropping.
