This was an amazing read that I devoured in 1 day! The book does a great job in telling the story of how the conviction of one man with amazing courage and heart, opened the doors of higher education to deserving young men in the turbulent times of the 60's. Each man's story is told in such clarity that you have a clear sense of not only their challanges in the environs of Holy Cross; but the challenges that await them upon graduation. I have a better understanding of Justice Thomas as a result of reading this book.
