What a fun read for anyone from Columbus - it takes place in Victorian Village, German Village, Grandview, Short North... fun to see familiar places pop up like the Book Loft, Cup O Joe, and Katzinger's Deli. The story was quite good up until about the last two chapters, then it petered out.

I was disappointed and very sad at the end, but the local color made up for it.

A fun read for any Columbus native who likes a good mystery.

This was a great read, gripping from beginning to end. The last few chapters were a little bit disappointing, but I would still recommend the book to anyone! I'm looking forward to read more of this authors works.

This was a hard book to read. Just very depressing stuff. I wanted to give it 5 stars based on how invested I was in the book and the characters. But in the end it just took so much out of me I can't fully say it was worth reading.

Firstly, if you are looking for a novelization version of a haunted house thriller/horror, this isn't that. If you are looking for a style more spooking (like the Sixth Sense or the Others) then this isn't that either. It is more about what happens to a man when he almost has nothing left to live for and then finds that maybe he does after all if his son is a ghost.

I found the book 'easy' to read in that the writing style was easy to follow and hooks you into the characters. While sometimes over the top, it is hard to judge the characters actions because of the death of their son. Unless you've had this happen I would assume it is hard to imagine what it would be like. There is closure per se, which was good.

By all means, read the book, you may be glad you did or you may just get depressed like I did.
