One of my Family Storytime regulars recommended this adorable book to me. See, it works both ways. Sometimes I give you guys recommendations, and sometimes you guys give 'em to me! Search for Ladybug as she hides among the playroom in this seek-and-find picture book. Cuteness overload.

A fun "search and find" book with great repetition and rhymes for toddlers. What's especially nice about this one, is that first you search for the ladybug in the picture, but then the next page has a rhyme and a close-up relating to where the ladybug was hidden.

Such a fun "hike and seek" book for younger kiddos. The first time we read through it, I thought it was pretty tough to find the ladybug, and perhaps too advanced for my 16-month old, but she still seemed to enjoy it. By the third or fourth time we read it, my daughter was delighted with being able to find the ladybug easily (but it still never got old, even if a few weeks later).

Great for young fans of I Spy books, this one includes a sneaky ladybug who loves to hide. Younger readers will join in on the repeater line "Yoo-hoo, Ladybug!", but older readers will still enjoy the challenge of finding the little beetle on each page.

We like looking for Ladybug! Ladybug is our favourite character! Ladybug loves to hide and play peek a boo!

The glorious Mem Fox has written yet another winning picture book for young children. The ladybug we're look for is hiding in the pictures waiting to be discovered by eager eyes. We learn on the first page that "Ladybugloves to hide" and there she is with her toothy grin ready to lead the way. The repeated refrain "Yoo-hoo, Ladybug! Where are you? There you are..." allows the readers to jump into the hide and seek game with gusto. The page that reveals the often well hidden bug includes a rhyming couplet such as "Stuck on the stairs with a couple of bears!".
The text is simple and engaging and the illustrations by Laura Ljungkvist are bright, busy (but not too busy) and full of fun details including that grinning little ladybug. If you have any young hidden picture fans Yoo-Hoo, Ladybug! will be a treat.

My 18 month old loves it and asked me to read it to her over and over again. It's not easy to find the ladybug but I think they love to hear "Yoohoo" and the other phrases that rhyme. It's a very cute little book!

Mem Fox does it again! This is a fun, gentle version of "Where's Waldo?" for the toddler set. Little ones as young as 18 mos. will delight in asking "Yoo Hoo, Ladybug! Where are you?" over and over.
