Read it in one sitting! I would recommend this to others.

I usually don't like Christian historical fiction, but this one wasn't bad. I hadn't read anything of Ladd's before so I was happy that for once I could get through a Christian book. Also, I really dislike male POV in this genre, but Ladd did a pretty good job. I found the climax a bit too drawn out, and also, the romance wasn't quite built up enough. However, I liked the characters and the plot. Overall, I recommend it for people who like Christian historical fiction because it is one of the better ones out there.
