When the world was young, twins were born. One brought light to a dark world; the other, darkness and danger. They gathered others around them, men and women destined to use their powerful gifts for good or evil. Today, their descendants walk the earth as the Chosen, and the ultimate battle has begun. Brilliant but proper and predictable, Rosamund Hill has lived her life buried in universities and libraries, discounting the legend of the Chosen as a myth. Then Aaron Eagle shows up at her door.
This is the second book in the Chosen series. The Chosen are trying to find the prophecy before the Others do Aaron finds Rosamund who is a librarian and knows a lot of historical things. They find themselves traveling different places to find it. All along their romance is growing. I did enjoy this book and am looking forward to the next book in this series.
I LOVE the Dodd series about the "Chosen Ones," however this particular book did not get the full five stars because the lead male character was not as impressive as the others to my opinion. Still a good read.
I liked this one. I really liked the heroine - shy, intelligent but clueless about men, beautiful but hidden under dowdy clothes and bad hair. She reminded me a bit of the Temperance Brennan character in the tv show Bones, except a lot less confident.
