This movie is predictably mundane for the first half, but then takes an unexpected and comical turn in the middle, making it an enjoyable flick.
The performance of actress, Ryoko Hirosue - - playing the staid but quirky business executive, Kanae, in dire need of a husband - - really makes this movie!
BE SURE TO CONTINUE WATCHING past the closing credits as it has a cute second ending.

This is a funny, entertaining movie with unexpected plot twists and irony. Extremely well-acted. OK for all ages, if viewers can read subtitles (or know Japanese).

This movie is absolutely hilarious and is so quirky. The plot is great and moves from one unexpected spot to another. Although one of the characters is a bit unrealistic (she's marked she's getting married without even knowing who she'll marry), it does resonate with the audience. The best part of this movie has to be the switch up of identities. This is a hilarious movie and quite a twister despite it being a comedy. You'll enjoy it.

I adored this movie for the rare glimpse offered to the foreigner about Japanese culture, honour system, and way of life.

Can any Japanese person confirm if this is a realistic movie or is it made unnecessarily contrived for the film?

When an obviously well-to-do businessman takes a tumble at the local public bathhouse, Sakurai, a depressed and out-of-work actor, decides to switch locker keys with the unconscious man and assume his identity just for a day. But when the injured party wakes up in hospital with complete amnesia (and Sakurai’s clothes and I.D.), the desperate young man decides to make the arrangement more permanent. The trouble is, Sakurai has chosen to switch places with Kondo, a notorious contract killer who has just offed a high-ranking business tycoon and is now being sought out by a yakuza boss for one more highly lucrative assignment. In the meantime Kondo, believing himself to be Sakurai, is beginning to get his memory back... This is one very funny comedy of mistaken identities, disappearing corpses and confused girlfriends; well written, perfectly timed, and featuring a fine ensemble cast who dive into their roles with gusto.

LOL...oops...Oh-My...LOL...oops...Oh-My...LOL ... from start to finish smartly written and acted comedy. Not surprised to learn that it won the Best Screenplay Award of the Japanese Academy and several major Asian accolades in 2012 and 2013. (also available in Netflix?)

It's OK. Some fun moments.. It felt amaturish. Could have been better.

Hysterically funny without being silly, snarky, or gross. Reflective and thoughtful too. Everything fits together beautifully. Everyone in the family from young to old really enjoyed it.

Older sister: When you were young, didn't your heart ever ache?
Kanae: What's that?
Older sister: That indescribable feeling where your heart aches so sweetly. You only get it when you think of that one man. But that goes away once you pass 30, especially when looking for someone to marry. I think the mechanism breaks. So, be like me, forget about marrying for love.

Lady boss announced: On a more private note, I will be getting married.
Underling: Seriously?
Lady: Yes, but I will continue working.
Underling: Who's the lucky man?
Lady: I still haven't decided. I'd like to ask you all a favour. I've registered with a number of agencies and websites. But I'd like to explore all my options. If you know any suitable men looking to get married...please let me know.
Male underling: Would you consider someone working here?
Lady: I've examined all the bachelors here... and found you all wanting.
Underling: I see. What's your search criteria?
Lady: It must be someone who is a robust, healthy hard worker. {Remember these key words}
