This was a good book. I learned a lot about Russian culture, and it was explained in a very interesting and un-textbook like manner. The characters were a little two dimensional and annoying at parts, but an overall good book.

Natalya, one of the Russian elite, is deeply in love with Alexai Romanov, the heir to the Russian throne, and will do anything to protect him, his family, and her beloved Russian land. When a revolution threatens the life of the Romanovs, she puts herself in great danger to find a magical Faberge egg, said to protect the family’s hold on the empire - and the very lives of the family themselves. But what Natalya doesn’t expect, is her own magical connection to the egg, and how much her life will change during her journey to recover it.

The love of Alexei Romanov might not be enough to save Natalya's life ... but maybe a magical Faberge egg will.
