To be honest, some of these stories sounded so familiar that I had to check if the author had worked in the area. Most of these are funny, a few are quite shocking, and some are heartwarming. Anyone in (or soon-to-be-in) the profession should read this.

I laughed at the naive, ignorant, irrational and/or willfully ignorant requests by patrons to underappreciated librarians. There is a flip side chapter on the rewards & payoff on some patrons saying thank you or paying it forward to said librarians going the extra kilometer.
I hated Cuckoo Carol!

I work at a library and I did find myself able to relate with some of it. That being said, it is not as funny as some other similar books I have read in the past. Also, Cukoo Carol was not THAT funny to me, mostly just rude. That being said, it might be slightly more funny for people not working at a library as it might come across as a little more surprising/shocking.

This is a short, quick read and is especially amusing if you work in a library, which I do.

This book is so funny, because it's true. You wouldn't think half of these things happen at a public library, but they do.

Funny, weird and touching all at once. The last chapter shows a side of humanity that will warm your heart.

A light and humorous read that gets to the heart of public library service. Library staff and frequent library visitors will find these candid anecdotes relatable and entertaining.

A quick read with hilarious anecdotes about working in a library. Anyone who works with the public may relate to the stories.
