The fact that this book is out of the renowned Johns Hopkins is an assurance in itself that the material is authentic and reliable. Covers a broad range of illnesses and looks at pain in a multi-faceted approach including spiritual (not religious) which the medical community at large is increasingly recognizing as significant in one's wholistic health.
Well organized with an extensive glossary of medical terms, especially helpful for those with a limited grasp of all things medical as well as a useful Index so that one can jump directly to the information desired.
Almost all of my concerns were fully addressed. (I read the entire book.) For additional information, see Resources included at the back of the book.
