A Captivating account of the race for space. I found one error in my opinion on communication satellites. The totally hyped failure called Telstar, a low altitude satellite built by AT&T is mentioned but the first successful Communication Satellite "Early Bird" invented, designed and built by Hughes Aircraft Company was not mentioned. Early Bird televised the Pope's visit to Bogota to the world and a year later televised the President Nixon Visit to China.

I hope that future printings can correct the record
