The concept is good, but the story definitely felt incomplete. Needs some more content, a litle personality to the protagonist, and a round of polishing. I can totally see the idea being used for a YA/adult book. In fact, I think I have seen a variation of it. Those stories have always been from the detective/journalist/family member's POV, I would like to see it again through a middle grader's as was attempted in this book.
