Good acting, but writing sometimes obvious (sometimes found myself speaking the lines ahead of the actors,) but fun, all-in-all.

I found the series started off a bit slow, but by the third episode I was fully into it. Excellent acting, cinematography and plot twists! And the cool 1970s styles were fun to watch.

Excellent spy thriller. So many twists and turns! Tom Hughes was excellent as was the rest of the cast. Terrific! Well worth watching!

Really enjoyed this series, lots of twists and turns, likely have to see it again to get all that's going on, but that is a good sign for a movie like this, it's engrossing and interesting and one becomes quite fond of the characters....

An interesting spy- mystery in the cold war area in 1971. Well played, well written....shows that every generation had its share of political problems.....4 stars

I found this flick to be painfully slow with Tom Hughes badly miscast as the genius, suave, debonair, master agent for MI5. It appears they tried to stretch a 1 hr mini-drama into a 4 hour mini-series. Not really up to BBC drama standards in my opinion.

Marginally beyond plausibility, as MI5, seemingly operating in the form of a boutique counterespionage outfit, skirmishes with KGB miscreants in cahoots with the IRA. The Game is nominally escapist fare, but the excellent '70s setting has definite positive attributes: not a freakin' cell phone anywhere. Absence of that crutch gadget would crater half the scripts for what passes as melodrama today. Worth a star in and of itself. The series also nicely brings forth the modus operandi of the time, if one was to survive ... trust no one ... no one.

I borrowed this more out of curiosity than in search of entertainment, but it kept my interest with its top-rate cast, authentic atmosphere and lots of tension.

Very good cold war spy story with unexpected twists.

Tom Hughs makes it worth watching....but the movie was pretty good, not excellent, but worth the watch.
