Elvis learned HOUND DOG from a white Vegas singing group named FREDDIE BELL AND THE BELLBOYS. He was walking through, and he heard them doing it. AND I LOVE YOU SO, by Don McLean, was the last song Elvis ever recorded. Perry Como had the hit with it. Randy Newman, when asked what he thought was a great song, named VINCENT, by McLean.
