It opens in 1926 as Newt Scamander has just completed a global excursion to find and document an extraordinary array of magical creatures. Arriving in New York for a brief stopover, he might have come and gone without incident, were it not for a No-Maj (American for Muggle) named Jacob, a misplaced magical case, and the escape of some of Newt's fantastic beasts, which could spell trouble for both the wizarding and No-Maj worlds.

A fantastic movie! I was hooked right till the end. The storyline was amazing and the beasts were incredible. Eddie Redmayne played Newt Scamander so well, he just made the movie even more amazing.

Fabulous addition to the Harry Potter film collection. Amazing acting, sets, plot, and FX. Slightly darker and edgier than the original HP series, but still absolutely marvellous.

I absolutely love this addition to the Harry Potter universe. The four lead characters make a wonderful team, the creatures are imaginative and lend to the wonder of J.K. Rowling's magical world, and there's a good mix of danger, adventure and hilarity.

I watched this to keep up with my granddaughters - not really my cup of tea. but I did realize that Eddie Redmayne has had the same befuddled facial expressions in the 3 movies I have seen with him.

The plot is shallow. I watched this thinking it would be as good as Harry Potter movies but it isn't.

A poor addition to the Harry Potter universe. The main characters fail to deliver a compelling performance and the plot does not offer much in the way of intrigue. The movie relies heavily on CGI as the monster designs take precedence over the development of relationships between the main character and the world he is a part of.

I love this movie so much! It's a real power-up to the wizarding world of Harry Potter. Love it!

Relies heavily on CGI and the befuddled expression of the male star.

In mid-20s New York, Newt Scamander, the British young activist wizard, arrives in town, holding a mysterious leather suitcase which shelters a wide array of diverse and magical creatures that exist among us. Amid an already fragile equilibrium of secrecy, and the increasing disasters ascribed to the dark wizard, Gellert Grindelwald, Newt's precious suitcase will be lost--and to make matters worse--several creatures will manage to escape. Before long, this situation will catch Senior Auror Percival Graves' attention who will target Newt, in the background of an invisible, devastating, and utterly unpredictable menace that still wreaks havoc on 5th Avenue. In the end, is there a hidden agenda behind Graves' intentions; moreover, what will happen to the remaining fantastic beasts still loose in the streets? Written by Nick Riganas
