Another great album from Mr Crowell. A relief to hear after his last solo effort, Tarpaper Sky.
He's trancended most connections to country music on this album_ save for some instrumentation. It's an autobiographical, self-confessional collection of blues, rock and folk songs about love, loss and getting older.
Almost every tune on this album is VERY good_ except for the last one; which should have been called "Name Dropping '72"
Nevertheless, its one of my top 5, so far, this year
