It's a wonderful book, just wonderful. I think Mr Sankey doesn't understand how science works.

In view of the previous comment, I was going to just prefix my older review with: "As a lifelong scientist, who has got some things right and some wrong, ". However, editing an old entry erases it! So what follows is what pkendal responded to.

I find it a mystery how such an intelligent gifted writer backed by one of the great universities of the world could get so many things wrong. Virtually every conclusion in this book has been shown to be wrong by later work, both in detail and in general, while lesser writers' work has stood the test of time.
