Mild spolier alert to TheeAVebury and others who feel like quitting the series because it doesn't do justice to time travel: hang in there! By season 3 you'll be dealing with time jumps and alternate timelines that result from changing time. Find out what happens to everyone living in an original timeline when there's now a second, altered timeline. It's worth continuing the series, believe me!

Besides actually being set in Vancouver instead of just filmed there (praise-worthy in itself), this has a decidedly Canadian production feel that I'm beginning to think is ingrained in our culture. The acting and lines have a slightly contrived feel that is typical of Paul Gross and U.S. made-for-TV Christmas dramas. However, the special effects and contrasting plot concepts are excellent. The heroine is a good person defending a bad corporation at odds with bad people fighting for a good cause. Some things are a little far-fetched but this is meant to be a character drama. It's more like Due South meets 12 Monkeys, and not at all like Time Cop. I binge-watched season 1 and will seek out the rest.

This Canadian mini-series is an action drama with a time travel theme. It failed to hold my interest after a few episodes.

Very disappointing I must say- I had heard good things about the series- so imagine my surprise when I watched it and found the idea of time travel to be virtually ignored ( at least to the extent that the show is ABOUT time travel it seems to play a relatively minor role ). The show sets up some tremendously interesting ideas, and then fails to follow through- relying instead on shallow characters played by good looking actors, and enough inane action to keep viewers interested. It's also odd how they chose to make each character be a different ethnicity- is it supposed to be the United Nations of television shows? I would recommend that science fiction fans give this vapid show a miss- I certainly will not be watching any more seasons.

This is the best SiFi in the past decade, the last one was Farscape..Their concept of time travel is conceived in quantum theory, that right there puts it light years ahead of the typical SiFi fodder if you can't follow the plot it's because it's made clear as the series progresses, it's kind of the theme obvious in the first seasons episodes iterations..

Hi! I am interested in checking out this series. Thanks all for your comments. I am commenting today to say that you can go into the library website and put in requests for them to purchase items they don't have yet. I just did it the other day for season 2 of Escape to Chimp Eden. Hope this helps. You all have a great day!

I thought this was going to be just another a routine police procedural with time machine frosting.

But both the characters and the speculative sci-fi history became more interesting as the series progressed.

I'll be looking forward to Season 2.

( Darn ! ....just found out that the NYPL has Season 3, BUT it does NOT have Season 2 !!?)

The library is missing season 2

Good actors of all ethnicity and computer animation in this Canadian sci-fi but the sub plots were open looped and unsatisfying ... no doubt baiting audiences to watch season two. Wonderful shots of Vancouver sights.

Continuum Season One begins in the year 2077 in a high tech but corporate run society. The advanced technology allows those in control to monitor virtually every aspect of one's life. A group of so-called terrorists named Liber8 are about to be executed when an explosion sends the group and cop Kiera Cameron back in time to the present. Kiera's mission is to find and then stop the Liber8 members from altering events that would change the future. Continuum is an action packed science fiction series with great special effects and many thought provoking ideas.

Introducing Kiera Cameron: 2077. My time, my city, my family. When terrorists killed thousands of innocents, they were condemned to die. They had other plans. A time travel device sent us all back 65 years. I want to get home, but I can't be sure what I will return to if history is changed. Their plan? To corrupt and control the present in order to win the future. What they didn't plan on, was me.
