Breakfast at Tiffany's

a Short Novel and Three Stories
Jun 01, 2015DollyWannaCracker rated this title 3.5 out of 5 stars
I am a huge fan of Audrey Hepburn, so I decided to do a paper on her for my school. Of course, most of you know that Audrey Hepburn starred in Breakfast at Tiffany's, the movie adaption of this novel. (I loved the movie). In order to know more about the actual story, I decided to read the book. Very impressed. First of all, I noticed that the movie dialogue and the book dialogue were virtually identical. It was as if I were reading the screenplay. The only thing left out was a lot of the swearing. And the, ahem, racy scenes. A couple of other differences was that they really played down her role in the movie as a hooker, where as this part of her character was very prominent in the story. The other was that she was pregnant with Jose's "heir", as she calls the child. However, she ended up having a miscarriage. Side-note: This book was based off of the author's mother, Lillliemae.
