I really like Dorothea Benton Frank's writing style. She draws you in to the story almost immediately as if you are there. That's about where the praise ends with this book though. The problem with this work is there really isn't much of a storyline. It's fairly simplistic. When I finished reading it, I thought "that's it"? There isn't much depth.
