If you are a painter, you will enjoy the footage of him painting. The personal story is a bit disturbing, I always knew hew was an alcoholic who abused women, which is why I didn't go see it in the theatres when it first came out. Ed Harris tones that aspect down a bit, the character is rude, inconsiderate, yells a lot and break things when he's drunk. I'm glad the film gives dimension to his partner Lee Krasner who was also a painter, but lived in the shadow of Pollock's fame.
