What a way to show how one mistake can ruin several lives. Mackenzie is distracted by her GPS that is not cooperating while she is taking her 5-year-old daughter to a play date somewhere they haven't been. Those few seconds costs her a daughter and a marriage. Now five years later she is Maggie trying to live a safe life with 4 months left on her probation. At first I didn't understand why she was on probation when it was an accident. But slowly things are revealed that explains why she got convicted like she did. I enjoyed her new life, her friends, and how her family started to come back into her life. This book is all about hope and coming out on the other side a better person. It's also about family and what you would do for friends. I had a hard time putting this book down. I wanted to know what was happening to all the characters and I really cared for them.
